A Little About Us
How We Met
Alisha and Kirby first met in their final year of high school in 2016. Alisha joined a soccer intramural team in which Kirby was playing as the goalie. Kirby decided to reach out to Alisha to thank her for joining the team and started to express more interest. Eventually, Kirby and Alisha went on a date to the movies & went to the local mall. They finally made it official during the semi-formal dance party in their high school and the rest is history!
The Proposal
Kirby started planning for the proposal by getting the most beautiful ring after secretly consulting with his brother Carlos and cousin Tiffany. Kirby and Alisha went on a trip to British Columbia where they hiked up the mountain. On top of the mountain and in front of a beautiful Garibaldi Lake, Kirby went down on his knee and asked & Alisha said yes!

Cat & Alisha met in high school when confused and lost Cat approached (suppposedly) friendly-looking Alisha to ask for classroom direction. Although both of them were slightly awkward at first 😳, they quickly became friends and have been friends for 10 years. Cat always brings joy and laughter to Alisha's life.
Zainab
Bridesmaid
Zainab & Alisha met at a middle school classroom party when Alisha approached quiet and kind looking Zainab sitting on the chair. We both don't know what exactly happened but we were best friends soon after and friendhsip has been going strong for 12 years. Zainab is hilarious but can be a bit crazy 😉!
Yona

Yona is also Alisha's middle school friend who's been alongside Alisha for 11 years. Yona & Alisha met through a teacher who introduced Yona to Alisha, hoping Alisha can shed a light to Yona who a new student at the time (hopefully it was successful)! Yona is always there for Alisha and ready to fight against anything that would hurt her 🐱👤.

Lydia is Alisha's high school friend who found each other in calculus class 🧮. Lydia and Alisha spent the majority of their math class time talking and laughing about anything (don't worry - we both did well in the class though!). Lydia and Alisha have been friends for 8 years and she has always been there for Alisha to share just about anything that comes in life's way!
Carlos

Carlos is Kirby's one and only older brother. Although they bicker with each other a lot 😤, we all know they care deeply about and are always there for each other 🤨.
Calvin

Calvin is Kirby's elementary school friend. Calvin and Kirby met when Calvin came to Kirby's elementary school as a new student. Calvin and Kirby made great childhood memories adventuring in their neighbourhood 🛴🚴, playing video games, singing or playing their favourite songs 🎸🦸♂️ and laughing a lot together 🤣!

Daniel is also Kirby's elementary school friend. They met when they got placed in the same class. They barely remember how they became so close because they were little tiny kids but they have been friends for 18 years! Daniel and Kirby always found enjoyment sharing or playing video games 🍁📖 together from game consoles 🕹️ to the PC 🖥️.

Dylan is Zainab's beloved husband who became Kirby's friend when they met in their wedding last summer. Dylan is down-to-earth and they both share an interest in guitar 🎸 (and drinks 🧃) together.

Can I bring a guest?
Yes! You are welcome to bring your guests who are pre-registered with us. However, we are not able to accommodate for any additional guests who are not listed on our invite list due to the capacity of the venue. However, please note that this is an adult only event due to the nature of our event involving unlimited alcohol.
What is the dress code of the event?
We kindly ask all our guests to wear formal attire. In addition, we are encouraging our guests to wear olive green, dusty rose/blue or gold coloured attire. However, we understand that it may be difficult for some guests to accommodate for the aforementioned colour themes so it is not mandatory.
Do you have a registry?
We currently do not have a registry so we welcome any gifts of your choice or we would greatly appreciate monetary gifts to help us start our new life together.
Will food be provided?
Yes! We provide a high quality and tasty dinner with unlimited alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages. Menu will be provided at the event for you to choose your preference.
Is there parking available?
Yes! Elora Mill Hotel & Spa provides free parking next to Elora Foundry where the ceremony is held. You can also park overnight free of charge if you are staying overnight at a nearby accommodation after the fun night of unlimited alcohol! During the wedding event, you will be provided with a validated parking ticket that will allow you to exit the parking lot gate without paying. Don't forget to pick it up before you leave!
Have you reserved hotel room blocks for guests?
We have blocked off certain number of rooms for each accommodation listed in this website for preferred rates. However, it is the responsibility of the guests to reserve and pay for the room. We strongly recommend guests to book well in advance to ensure the availability of the rooms.
How late does the wedding go?
The wedding officially begins at 5 PM and ends at 1 AM. You are welcome to leave early if needed but of course, we always encourage our guests to stay as late as possible :)
